So we treat it as an architecture decision tied to business goals: do you need faster feature releases? Do you face seasonal peaks? Do you want development separated from production? Has continuity after local hardware failure become a revenue risk? Each answer changes the shape of the solution—from public cloud to hybrid or disciplined managed hosting.

We classify each workload by sensitivity, required availability and usage pattern. Then we propose a suitable tier: what stays close to field operations, what is hosted where capacity is flexible and how channels between them are secured. The resulting diagram must be understandable to a technical manager and explainable to non-technical leadership in minutes.

We move early-value, lower-disruption workloads first, with test environments that mirror reality as closely as practical. We define acceptance criteria before final cutover, a written rollback plan and a maintenance window stakeholders agree on. During migration we watch performance, latency and errors; afterward we close gaps: excess privileges, leftover resources and temporary settings forgotten in launch heat.
